STEPS TO SECURE YOUR BALLOTS:

Follow the steps to complete your ballots. Make sure you sign and seal your ballot in the certified envelope
Place your ballot in the secure dropbox by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Track your ballot to make sure it was received and counted.

Early Voting in East Orange:

In East Orange, New Jersey, you have the option to cast your ballot before Election Day through in-person early voting. This convenient method allows you to vote at designated locations using voting machines, ensuring your voice is heard on your schedule.

Early Voting Dates and Hours:

Primary Election: Tuesday, June 3, 2025 – Sunday, June 8, 2025
General Election: Saturday, October 25, 2025 – Sunday, November 2, 2025

Voting Hours:

Monday – Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

At East Orange City Hall, registered voters can cast their ballots using voting machines, just as they would on Election Day. No appointment is necessary, and you can vote at any time during the designated hours.

Important Notes:

No Appointment Necessary: Simply visit any early voting location during the specified hours to cast your vote.

Tracking Your Ballot in East Orange

Once you’ve voted, you’ll want to make sure your vote is counted. East Orange voters who choose to vote by mail can easily track their ballots to ensure they are received and processed by the Essex County Board of Elections.

How to Track Your Ballot:

Visit the New Jersey Division of Elections Website:
- The New Jersey Division of Elections provides an online ballot tracking tool to help you track the status of your mail-in ballot.
- Click here to track your ballot
Enter Your Information:
- To track your ballot, you’ll need to enter your date of birth and the voter ID number from your mail-in ballot application or the barcode number on your ballot envelope.
Check Status:
- After entering your information, the system will provide updates on whether your ballot has been received, processed, or if further action is needed.
