Sammed Monk, a dedicated community leader from East Orange, New Jersey, has been committed to serving his community from a young age. Over the past two decades, Monk has continued to lead through service, volunteering in various organizations throughout Essex County, and assisting local seniors, families, and residents in times of need.

Monk is committed to improving the welfare of his local neighborhood, encouraging his neighbors to take pride in their community. Through his relationships with various city departments, Monk has worked to replace damaged parking signs, increase the use of East Orange Parking Authority permits, and improve access to childcare programs and homelessness solutions. Monk has also been a steadfast supporter of his community during times of crisis, assisting people and the police at accident scenes and standing with residents in their time of need.

In addition to his commitment to his local community, Monk is also dedicated to ensuring that new residents of East Orange feel welcomed and acclimated to their new surroundings, particularly those from New York. As an active participant in online forums, virtual city council meetings, and learning sessions, Monk is able to respond quickly to residents' concerns and help them navigate their new environment.

Throughout his professional career, Monk has held various positions in sales management, regulatory and executive services, and has become a subject-matter expert in emerging technologies. He attended Essex County College and Shaw University, further demonstrating his commitment to education and personal development.

As an East Orange district leader and member of the Essex County Democratic Committee, Monk is committed to maintaining a tight-knit community, working alongside residents to ensure a high quality of life for all.
